FocusOn did NOT advertise on NBCs broadcast of Super Bowl 46, why


Actually the ads for this year's Super Bowl were sold out by Labor Day last year, so we were simply too late to get in….yeh right. Apparently there are 30 companies that have all spots locked up paying as much as $3.5 million for each of their 30 seconds of ad time. Seriously, there were several companies that came to the party too late and will be on the virtual sidelines of the airways.

The trend is humor as 80% of the Super Bowl ads in recent years clearly understand that viewers expect to be entertained and making them laugh will tend to make their products memorable.

You will certainly remember some of the classics from years ago, ads that did not use humor but rather emotion. Ads like Apple's introduction of the McIntosh in 1984 or most everyone's all time favorite Coke's Mean Joe Greene (1979). Want to see it again? Watch Here
