The YANMAR Compact Excavators – 10 Models of Power and Performance
The history of Compact excavators is synonymous with YANMAR's excavator history. Since YANMAR introduced the first compact excavator to the market in 1971, YANMAR has always taken the lead in the industry. YANMAR has 10 models of compact excavators ranging from 2,348 lbs through 20,730 lbs. The "VIO" Series-The True Zero Tail Swing Excavator. Launching the world's first Zero Tail Swing excavator in 1993, YANMAR is currently marketing the 4th generation in the ViO Series. The "ViO" name means True Zero Tail Swing. The "ViO" development objective of turning within the machine width has been successfully achieved, while still maintaining the stability and work performance of a conventional style unit. There are 7 models in the "ViO" series including the ViO27-3 and the ViO35-3. Both the ViO27-3 and the ViO35-3 models are available with rubber track or steel track and are powered by the 24.7 HP YANMAR 3 cylinder water cooled diesel engine. The maximum forward travel speed is 2.9 MPH. Both models can handle the rough terrain as each has a gradeability of 30°. The digging depth of the ViO27-3 is 8'10" with a forward bucket reach of 14'11". It has a maximum lift capacity of 1323 lbs. at a height of 9'10" and 1521 lbs. at ground level. The ViO-35-3 has a digging depth of 10'8" and a forward bucket reach of 16'8". It has a maximum lift capacity of 1544 lbs. at a height of 9'10" and 1742 lbs. at ground level. The ViO27-3 and ViO35-3 excavators are equipped with "VIPPS", the Vi0 progressive 3-pump system. This delivers smooth multifunction operation for increased efficiency. The "VICTAS" feature is the Vi0 Crawler Technology for Advanced Stability. VICTAS provides expanded track gauge for greater stability without increasing undercarriage width. The "SV" Series - Ultra-Tight Turning Excavator The turning radius in both front and rear is very minimal. This smooth, tight turning radius adds versatility on a tight work site. YANMAR has 2 models in "SV" series, with the smallest model, SV08 (2,348lbs) and the largest model, SV100 (20,730lbs). The YANMAR "B" Series Excavator "B-Sigma" has Unique "Sigma" boom. It is ideal for jobs in restricted urban sites and densely built-up areas. It is not only Zero Tail swing, but also no overhang on the front swing with the "Sigma boom".
