The T2510 Trimmer featuring C4 Technology®

Originally introduced in 2001, the Shindaiwa T2510 trimmer was the industry's first 2-stroke/4-stroke hybrid unit. The T2510 straight shaft has received many enhancements over the years and today continues to be well received by commercial users everywhere.

The C4 Technology® (Compression-Charged Clean Combustion) uses patented technology controlled by Shindaiwa.

Their engineers developed the technology that combines the best features of the 2-stroke engine (compactness, power-to-weight ratio, minimum-moving parts), and the 4-stroke engine (precise metering of combustion gases). The explanation of the C4 Technology is extensive and the full story can be viewed by clicking here.

The 24.5 cc high torque C4 Technology® engine delivers 1.1 horsepower @ 8,000 rpm. Though this engine does have a 10,500 maximum rpm it is certainly comparable to today's 2-cycle engines. The engine is equipped with a Walbro WYL barrel valve carburetor for all position use, and excellent throttle response and fuel metering throughout entire rpm range. This unit uses 50:1 2-cycle mix oil (recommended Shindaiwa ONE™ 50:1 2-cycle mix) and there is no dipstick.

The T2510 combines the best of both worlds; light weight, high torque, multi-positioning, and great throttle response of the 2-stroke and the low engine noise, improved fuel economy, and dramatically reduced exhaust gas emissions of the 4-stroke.
